The Presidents speech a winner, Rebuttal a dud!

So I find myself agreeing with most of what our President has to say during the SOTU, except for the shot about investigations. Don’t get me wrong, my being a Republican and all, but I don’t believe it should have been in the speech.

Now on the other hand, the rebuttal made me think of the 1950’s or 60’s. If you only heard the rebuttal speech you would have thought that minority’s were doing horrible. In fact minority’s in America are doing better than ever before. Mrs. Abrams did a good job with what she had to work with, but I fail to see the bleak horror of the country that she sees. Climate control is just a whistle call to me because you can have every home with solar and every free acreage in this country with windmill farms and unless someone figures a way to harness and store massive amounts of the energy created it’s just a dream.

Do I think this moved anyone in the government to work together on the budget issue, hell no!

Do I think congress is going to come up with a budget package that President Trump will consider, huge NO!

Will the government be shut down again, I doubt it. It would make no sense to shut the government down a second time, there would still be no deal made.

I believe in the end the President will have no alternative but to declare a national emergency and move on while it’s fought in the courts, thus showing yet again that our government is not working together.
